Ingredients
  1. 2 racks of beef or pork ribs
  2. 3 T Maple Piper Nigrum
  3. 1 1/2 T Granulated Garlic
  4. 1 C. Beef Broth
  5. 6 Oz. Terra Verde Foods’ Plum Chipotle
  6. 1 T Molasses
  7. ¼ C Brown Sugar
Equipment needed
  1. Large pan with deep sides to hold ribs.
  2. Aluminum foil
  3. Small mixing bowl
  4. Basting brush or mop
  5. Preheat oven at 275 degrees.
  6. Mix: 3 T Maple Piper Nigrum
  7. 1 1/2 T Granulated Garlic
  8. Rinse meat and pat dry. Rub the above mixture generously on both sides of the ribs.
  9. Place the ribs in a baking pan large enough to hold the ribs and the broth. Add beef broth to cover the bottom of the pan.
  10. Cover and seal with Aluminum foil. Bake for 7 hours at 275 degrees.
  11. Mix together Terra Verde Foods’ Plum Chipotle, molasses and brown sugar to taste. (Note – the sweetness of this basting sauce can be adjusted by the addition of the brown sugar. If you do not like your basting sauce real sweet you need to taste before adding the brown sugar and then adjust to your preference.) This makes about 1 1/4 cup of basing sauce using ¼ cup of brown sugar.
  12. Adjust the baking temperature of the oven to 325 degrees.
  13. Baste the ribs with the sauce. Be sure all of the ribs are covered with the sauce. Return the ribs uncovered to the oven for 1 hour.
  14. Baste the ribs on all sides again and return the ribs, uncovered, to the oven for another hour.
  15. The meat should be tender and falling off of the ribs. The remaining basting sauce can be used as a dipping sauce. If you decide to use the drippings of the pan in your dipping sauce you should mix the basting sauce and drippings in a sauce pan and bring to a boil before using.
  16. Make sure you have plenty of napkins and are ready to lick your fingers clean!
  17. Suggested additions: Cole slaw. Use Terra Verde Foods Craig’s Dressing and Lavender Pepper with your cabbage slaw mixture for a quick slaw recipe.
  18. Add Spicy O’s to your potato salad for a nice little kick.

  1. You can use pork or beef ribs for this recipe. 3 to 4 ribs per serving.
  2. Preparation time: 15 minutes
  3. Cooking time: 9 hours
